Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-10-15

These terms are the agreement between you and Novatise, which runs Cyber Securitise. They apply to the Cyber Securitise plugin, the dashboard, the free site scan and this website.

1. The service

Cyber Securitise is security and privacy software for WordPress. It has three parts:

  • The plugin, which runs on your WordPress site. A free edition works on its own; paid plans unlock more of it.
  • The dashboard, an online service where you connect your sites, see their status and act on them. It comes with a paid or free account.
  • The free site scan on this website, which checks any public website from outside, as a visitor would.

2. Your account

You need an account for the dashboard. Give us accurate details and keep them current. You are responsible for everyone you invite to your account and for what they do in it. Every dashboard user must use two-step sign-in. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think your account has been misused.

3. Plans, prices and payment

There are three plans. Free covers one site. Protect (Cyber Securitise Protect) costs US$39 (S$49; ¥5,900 including consumption tax in Japan) per site per year and renews yearly; each subscription covers one site, and if you buy for several sites you choose the number of sites at checkout. Agency, for agencies and hosts with many sites, is priced by quotation. Prices are shown on our pricing page before you buy, before tax except for yen prices, which include consumption tax. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

The free edition of the plugin is available from the dashboard. Protect uses our signed, self-updating edition of the plugin, which you install from the dashboard after you buy.

Protect renews automatically at the end of each year until you cancel. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for you; you can cancel before it does.

The free plan covers one site with the features listed on the pricing page and may change or end with 30 days’ notice.

4. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time in the dashboard (Billing). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law requires it or where we end the service without cause. Refunds for the clean-up service are set out in section 7.

After a subscription ends, the account stays readable and downloadable for 30 days, then is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. An account its owner deletes (Account › Delete account) is closed at once and deleted after 30 days.

5. Acceptable use

Use Cyber Securitise only for sites you own or are authorised to manage. Do not:

  • use the service to attack, probe or overload any system, or to scan sites in a way that breaks their terms;
  • try to get around plan limits, licence checks or security controls, or to reach data that is not yours;
  • copy, resell or rebrand the dashboard without a written agreement with us;
  • use the service in breach of any law, including privacy and computer-misuse laws.

6. Your data

You keep all rights to your sites and their content. You give us permission to process the data your sites and users send to the service only to run it for you, as set out in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing page. Where we process personal data on your behalf, you are the controller and we are your processor.

7. What security software can and cannot do

Cyber Securitise lowers the risk of a break-in and helps you recover from one; no software can promise that a site will never be compromised. Keep your own backups (the plugin can send them to storage you own), keep WordPress, themes and plugins up to date, and review findings before acting on them. Clean-up actions run only when you, or someone on your account, start them, except automatic quarantine of known malware, which never deletes anything and can be undone.

Clean-up service (“Hacked? We fix it”): a one-time clean-up of one hacked site by our engineers, for US$599 (S$799; ¥89,000 including consumption tax), or US$299 (S$399; ¥44,000 including consumption tax) for a site on an active Protect subscription when requested from that site’s Clean-up page in the dashboard. For the work, the Cyber Securitise plugin must be installed and connected, and you share one way into the site (FTP/SFTP, the hosting panel or wp-admin) through the encrypted access form on your clean-up request. We store it encrypted, only the assigned engineer can see it, and it is deleted automatically when the job closes or after 14 days, whichever comes first. Change those passwords after the job. You agree that our staff may see the site in the dashboard and send its clean-up actions while the job and the 30-day watch run.

Money-back guarantee: we reinstate the site, which means the malicious code we find is removed, the way in is closed, the site loads normally, and Google and blocklist warnings are cleared (we request the review on your behalf). If the site is reinfected within 30 days after the job closes, we clean it again at no charge. If we cannot reinstate the site, we refund the clean-up in full. The guarantee does not cover: rebuilding content, design or data that was destroyed (that needs your backup); any time the plugin is removed or disconnected during the work or the 30 days; or changes made outside our clean-up during the 30 days, for example someone else editing files or installing nulled plugins or themes.

8. Updates and changes to the service

We improve the service over time. Plugin updates are signed, and sites verify each one before installing it. We may change or remove features; if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused part of a yearly plan.

9. Availability and support

We aim to keep the dashboard available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The plugin keeps protecting your site if the dashboard is unreachable. Support is by email at [email protected].

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where reasonable, or straight away if needed to protect others.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, without affecting any mandatory rights you have where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We will post changes here and, for changes that matter, email account owners at least 30 days ahead. Questions: [email protected].
